The biannual Marion-Bermuda Race took place this week, with a Bermudian boat being the first to finish, as sighted from St. David's lighthouse lookout. Attended a party at the host Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club and had the chance to meet some sailors from RHADC, Bermuda and overseas and witnessed the sunset flag lowering ceremony, a formal naval tradition including bagpiping and the firing of a miniature bronze cannon by particular officers.
