The photo was taken by Dr. Edward Harris from the magnificent Casemates Barracks of the 1830s, which is undergoing a gradual restoration spearheaded by Bermuda Maritime Museum in partnership with community volunteers and the West End Development Corporation (WEDCo). And, at the Victualling Yard, restoration is being undertaken by WEDCo. of several spacious hardstone private residences still dressed with pristine original wood ceilings and floors and with the remains of deep, shady verandahs are being brought back to life.
